Ionic Foot Detox/Reflexology/Massage

Ionic Foot Detox is designed to help enhance your body’s natural detoxification process and balance your electromagnetic fields. It's designed to remove toxins, decrease pain & inflammation, improve organ function, increase and balance energy, restore vitality, increase mental clarity, clear skin, and help you to build a stronger immune system.

The device emits negative ions into the water. With your feet placed in the ionically charged bath, the feet are said to shed heavy metals and other toxins. Additionally, the negative ions entering the body at the feet bind with and neutralize positively charged heavy metals and toxins in the body, which are thus neutralized and can be evacuated by the body's excretory system.

What’s the rationale for a foot detox?  Part of the reason we all need to detox is that our bodies (especially our livers and kidneys) have become saturated with toxins that we've absorbed over time through the air we breathe, the fluids we drink, and the food we eat. Toxins can be poisons, heavy metals, pesticides, fungicides, cleaning solvents, smog, and many substances we don't even know are leaching into our bodies via our clothing, our furniture, and even carpets. Many of the worst toxins we can ingest are put into our foods as additives and preservatives, yet most of us aren't even aware of this. Toxins and poor-quality food accelerate the aging process at a cellular level. A periodic foot detox with Ionic Foot Detox helps counter this process by removing toxins from your body. When our body encounters toxins, it has only a few ways to handle them:It hides them in fat; dumps them into tissue, such as muscle, organs, and bone; or eliminates them through waste. Our overloaded bodies alert us that they are in a toxic state by sending out messages in the form of fatigue, gas, headaches, food cravings, constipation, food allergies, chronic pain, blood sugar imbalances such as diabetes and hypoglycemia, attention problems, premenstrual syndrome, poor sleep, acne and other skin problems, poor digestion, bad breath, and a host of other conditions. An ionic foot detox session dramatically increases energy levels and helps in detoxifying the body.

What you might expect over the next couple of days:

This is a method of detox, not just a foot bath!  Detoxing affects everyone differently. Here are some of the possible side-effects you might notice over the next couple of days: headache, light headedness or dizziness, nausea, changes in bowel movements or urination. You may have some of these if your body is not used to detoxing, or you may have little to none if you are accustomed to detoxing.  We did ~50 foot detoxes during our first week of giving them, and 95% have only reported a change in bowel movements.

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is based on the premise that the foot contains a series of pressure points that correspond with all the major body systems, including the skin, nervous system, musculoskeletal system, circulatory system, and lymphatic system. Using specialized movements of the hands, reflexologists are able to apply pressure and flex the foot to stimulate these systems. The foundation of reflexology is based on the belief that there are energy zones (Qi) within the body that run from the head to the tips of the fingers and toes. Because they encompass the entire length of the body, they access all the organs and organ systems. By manipulating certain zones of the feet and hands, the reflexologist is able to access the energies of any system he or she is targeting. In order to know which zones of the feet and hands to use, reflexology relies on a “map” or “chart” that demonstrates where the access points of the hands and feet are. Even without the roots in Chinese alternative medicine and the use of Qi, this practice makes sense; after all, there are more nerve endings in the hands and feet than in almost any other part of the body.Reflexology compared to massage….By comparison a foot massage proves much more direct application and is less complex. While several massage traditions apply different approaches to a foot massage, the concept remains much the same: apply pressure to relieve soft tissue on and around the foot. This can mean massaging tightly constricted muscles, relieving stagnant circulation, and otherwise providing relief from soreness and discomfort .A massage lubricant cream/lotion/oil can be applied during a massage but is absent in areflexology session to allow the reflexologist a better read of the feet. Both are beneficial and enjoyable. Try both and decide for yourself which you enjoy most !
